The NAMI BURN-E 2 MAX builds upon its predecessor’s success as one of the standout electric scooters of 2021. It offers several enhancements that contribute to its excellence.
Upgrades from the original model include the incorporation of Logan 4-piston hydraulic brakes, wider 27-inch handlebars for improved stability at high speeds, a 5-amp fast charger that reduces charging time, enhanced turn signal indicators, improved waterproof charging ports and motor connectors for easier maintenance, and a range of features that make it a top choice among electric scooters.
The NAMI BURN-E 2 MAX retains features that made the original model a standout. It continues to use sine wave controllers, known for their smooth acceleration and control. The scooter is equipped with Logan 4-piston hydraulic brakes for powerful stopping performance, thanks to the two pistons on each side of the brake pad. The wider handlebars provide added stability at high speeds, and a steering damper, included with the scooter, ensures safer riding, especially at high speeds where steering correction can lead to speed wobbles.
Furthermore, adjustable hydraulic coil suspension allows riders to customize the scooter’s ride based on their preferences and needs, a crucial feature for both on-road and off-road experiences. With an IP55 water resistance rating (with certain components having an IP67 rating), the NAMI BURN-E 2 MAX can handle rainy conditions without posing water damage concerns, although riding in wet conditions remains discouraged to maintain the longevity of components.
The carbon fiber stem is a notable addition, offering strength and lightness to the scooter’s frame. The locking mechanism on the stem provides stability and confidence at high speeds. With a 2000-lumen light mounted high on the stem, night riding safety is improved, and the scooter comes with a 5-amp charger for quicker and more efficient charging.
The NAMI BURN-E 2 MAX’s large deck offers flexibility for foot placement during long rides. The scooter also simplifies tire changes with waterproof motor connectors. Its welded aluminum tube frame provides durability and a unique look.
However, there are some drawbacks to consider. The nylon tires can lead to a slight shaking at high speeds, which can be mitigated by upgrading to PMT tires. The thumb throttle has a dead zone and doesn’t engage until it’s about 1/3 pressed down. While the suspension is sufficient for street riding, heavier riders or those seeking more off-road capability may require an upgrade. The kickstand positioning affects the scooter’s clearance when navigating obstacles or making jumps, and the display can get scratched when the scooter is folded.
Overall, the NAMI BURN-E 2 MAX remains a strong choice in the electric scooter market, with its array of features and upgrades contributing to its appeal.
