We’ve moved! Check out our FULL review here. Summary below.

Safety gear is crucial when riding personal electric vehicles (PEVs) like e-scooters, e-bikes, electric unicycles (EUCs), and Onewheels. “Dress for the slide, not for the ride” is a motto that emphasizes the importance of safety gear. Here are some of the recommended safety gear choices:

Helmets:

  • Demon Podium Helmet: Full-face helmet with MIPS options but without a removable chin strap.
  • Bell Super Air R Mips Helmet: Offers removable chin strap, Mips protection, and good ventilation.
  • TSG Pass Full Face Helmet: Provides full enclosure for colder weather, comes with two lenses.
  • Predator DH6-Xg: Similar to TSG Pass with better lenses, ventilation, and one-size-fits-most design.

  • Andromeda Meteor Winter Gloves: Stylish gloves with carbon fiber knuckle protection, Kevlar lining, and good ventilation.

Lower Body Protection:

  • Demon Flexforce X2 D3O Men’s Shorts: Provides tailbone, butt, hip, and thigh protection.
  • Blue Armor-Dilloz Tire Sealant: Designed for sealing tire punctures, a handy tool to carry.

Tools and Lighting:

  • Shred Lights: Essential for night riding, customizable lighting for different PEVs.
  • Fix It Stick: High-quality hardened steel tool for maintenance and repairs.

  1. Really appreciate your advice and recommendations. I want to make sure I check out all the videos you guys produce. Here’s hoping PEV’s come into their own in the future-they are fun and don’t destroy the environment like loud combustion vehicles.

  2. Meteor winter glowes didnt find info about actual operating temperature. they are realy for winter ?
can they make hands be warm even hour driving when outside is wind and temperature -2 celsium ?

And does any of these helmets can protect head from injury if you ride 50 km h and fall ?

    1. I’ve ridden them in really cold weather below 0 celsius and they keep my hands warm. Depends on how you hit but a motorcycle helmet may be the better choice for safety.
