Kaabo Wolf E-Scooter Accidents: Should I be Concerned?

We’ve moved! Check out our FULL article here. Summary below.

Recent accidents involving Kaabo Wolf King and Kaabo Wolf Warrior electric scooters have raised concerns about the front forks as the apparent breaking point in these incidents. Both accidents resulted in the scooters breaking directly above the front axle nuts. These accidents have prompted an investigation into the causes and potential defects in these high-end scooters.

One accident involving the Kaabo Wolf Warrior 11+ occurred with an experienced rider, Austin, who had meticulously maintained his scooter with a record of 465 miles on it. While riding in a group at around 40 mph, the scooter hit a small bump, causing the front end to break off and Austin to fall. Despite initial speculation of rider error, the evidence suggests that Austin was riding safely and responsibly.

Another incident with a Kaabo Wolf King resulted in a broken scooter, but fewer details were available about this case.

The focus of the investigation has centered on the front fork, which is made of cast metal rather than forged metal. Casting metal parts, while cost-effective, often results in weaker components with less tensile and fatigue strength compared to forged parts. The recent accidents have prompted questions about whether the cast metal parts may be a factor.

Some unanswered questions and concerns include whether Kaabo conducted a comprehensive investigation, whether there are issues with a specific batch of scooters, and whether further safety measures should be implemented. It is crucial for riders to perform thorough pre-ride safety inspections, looking for signs of fatigue such as hairline cracks, maintaining proper bolt tightness, and wearing safety gear, including full-face helmets.

While the accidents have raised concerns, it is worth noting that there are many Wolf Warriors and Wolf Kings worldwide without reported issues. Continued vigilance and caution before each ride are essential for rider safety.

Kaabo is still investigating the issue, and more information may emerge to provide clarity on whether these accidents are isolated incidents or indicative of a broader problem. Riders are encouraged to share their experiences on the Electric Scooter Board to monitor the situation and promote awareness for safe riding practices.

  1. Yo. The rear suspension of my WW 11+ completely broke at the cheap, weak metal that hold both sets of dampeners and springs just riding down the street. It came to a screeching-halt.

  2. The axle nuts are were torqued crazy tight like well over 100+ lbs on my Wolf Warrior II when removing them to install some axle sliders to my scooter.

  3. Hi, Thanks for the chance to publish here as it is better than phoning! We’re incredibly impressed by the actual contribution some other people are making on the webpage and hope to make contributions in addition any time as i can. I concur along with the earlier poster and hope to return now and again.
