YUME X7 Electric Scooter Review

We’ve moved! Check out our FULL review here. Summary below.

The YUME X7 electric scooter stands out in the high-performance electric scooter category due to its enormous 13-inch diameter tires, large battery, powerful motors, and eye-catching lights. While it’s popular among riders in the Philippines and the UAE, it remains relatively less recognized in the United States. However, YUME sent the X7 to the USA, offering the opportunity to experience this brand.

The YUME X7 is notable for being the first scooter with 13-inch tires reviewed by the author, showcasing its substantial size in comparison to many other high-powered electric scooters that typically feature 11-inch tires.

Top 5 Things Loved About the YUME X7:

  1. Massive Tires: The X7 features colossal 13-inch tubeless pneumatic anti-skid street tires.
  2. Large Deck: The deck measures 24 inches long and 10 inches wide, offering ample space.
  3. Bright Deck and Headlights: Equipped with impressive headlights for safe nighttime riding, along with acrylic deck LEDs.
  4. Unique Appearance: The scooter’s distinctive design, with CNC metal stem parts, ensures it stands out.
  5. Massive Battery: The X7 comes with a substantial 60V 50Ah battery, providing 3000 watt-hours of power, and there’s also an option for a 72V 45Ah battery with 3240 watt-hours.

Top 5 Drawbacks of the YUME X7:

  1. Easily Scratched Acrylic Deck: While visually appealing, the acrylic deck can scratch easily.
  2. Folding Mechanism Could Be More Robust: The folding mechanism is functional but might benefit from a more robust design.
  3. Lack of On-Board Button for Deck Light: There’s no button to turn off the deck lights if the remote control is forgotten.
  4. Kick Plate Angle: The kick plate angle is flatter than preferred.
  5. Insufficient Instructions: The provided instructions could be more detailed, and critical safety information is sometimes missing.

The YUME X7 stands out for its enormous tires, spacious deck, bright deck and headlights, unique appearance, and massive battery. The 13-inch tires and powerful lighting contribute to a distinctive riding experience. The price point is reasonable for the features offered.

Nonetheless, it’s essential to note that the acrylic deck can scratch easily, and the folding mechanism, although functional, could be sturdier. Lack of an on-board button for controlling deck lights is a drawback. The kick plate angle is flatter than ideal, and more comprehensive instructions would be beneficial.

The YUME X7 is ideal for scooter enthusiasts seeking a unique, high-speed, long-distance option that doesn’t require explosive initial acceleration. With its oversized tires, large deck, seat, and substantial battery, it offers a comfortable and distinct ride. It’s also attractively priced for the array of features it provides. If you desire a feature-packed and visually distinctive scooter, the YUME X7 is a strong choice.

  2. Hey guy’s, thanks for the review on the Yume X7. I appreciate the read, and to have a bit more of an in-depth review is great as there isn’t much information out there from an owners perspective. I’m waiting for mine to arrive in Australia. I like the idea of the Velcro straps around the folding locks that’s a great tip.
    Take care and ride safe

    1. Hemi, we always appreciate your support. Excited for you to get your YUME X7. I think this scooter would be great for Australia since it has such large tires. You never know what kind of terrain you’re going to hit down under.

    1. The older Wolf Warriors never had issues. I don’t think it’s the suspension causing the issues but more of the cast metal not cast correctly. Glad that Kaabo is going to use forged metal instead.
