VSETT Electric Scooter Review

We’ve moved! Check out our FULL article here. Summary below.

The VSETT electric scooter brand was created through a collaborative effort by ZERO Dealers from Europe, Asia, and the USA. In June 2019, they gathered at the ZERO factory to work on a new generation of scooters, initially meant to be released in Spring 2020. During this time, ZERO motorcycles pursued the scooter line for its name but eventually rebranded it as VSETT.

VSETT scooters offer various unique features:

  1. Charge Ports on Top of the Deck: While controversial, this design choice aims to prevent water damage to the charge port. Covers on the sides or underneath often fall off due to wear, gravity, and vibrations.
  2. LG Batteries: Most VSETT scooters use LG batteries, which tend to have a lower failure rate compared to Chinese batteries. Battery failures can significantly impact the scooter’s range.
  3. Wireless NFC Card Reader: Instead of a key, VSETT scooters use an NFC card reader for unlocking. However, it’s still recommended to secure the scooter with a lock when left unattended.
  4. Turn Signal Indicators: VSETT scooters feature turn signals for added safety.
  5. Updated QS-S4 Throttle Display: The throttle display has been redesigned to prevent magnet issues and failures.
  6. Adjustable Suspension: All VSETT scooters come with some form of adjustable suspension, enhancing the riding experience.
  7. Rear Footrest: A rear footrest is present on all models, improving stability and comfort.

The VSETT line has an IP44 water resistance rating, making it suitable for riding in various conditions. Despite the rating, none of the distributors typically cover water damage under warranty.

Each model offers specific features and specifications:

  • VSETT 8: A single motor scooter designed for commuting, with a top speed of 25 mph and a range of around 25 miles. It offers LG batteries and adjustable suspension.
  • VSETT 8+: Similar to the VSETT 8 but equipped with dual motors and solid tires, ideal for tackling hills and reaching higher speeds.
  • VSETT 9: A slightly larger single motor scooter compared to the VSETT 8. It features adjustable suspension, a larger deck, and an upgraded clamp for added security.
  • VSETT 9+: Similar to the VSETT 9 but equipped with dual motors, offering impressive speed and agility.
  • VSETT 10+: A high-powered dual motor scooter, often referred to as the flagship model. It features hydraulic Nutt brakes, a sport mode, and a secure folding mechanism.
  • VSETT 11+: The largest scooter in the VSETT line, equipped with dual 1500-watt motors, 11-inch 4-inch wide tires, and an eye-catching design.

The VSETT line aims to provide a range of options catering to different riding preferences, from daily commuting to high-speed adventures. Each scooter has its unique strengths and capabilities, offering riders various choices to suit their needs.
